Indian Head Massage
Based on Ayurvedic Healing, which has been practised in India for many thousands of years, Indian Head Massage aims to release stress and tension in the head, neck, shoulders, upper back and face. The client stays fully dressed and the treatment can either be done sitting or lying down whichever the client prefers.
How does Indian Head Massage work?
Indian Head Massage releases the stress that builds up in the muscles, joints and tissues in the head, face, neck and shoulders. Tensions are eased and fibrous knots and nodules melt away. The efficiency of the circulatory and lymphatic systems improves, toxins are dispersed from tense muscles and flexibility and fluidity of movement is restored.
What happens during a session?
You will remain fully clothed and can have the treatment either lying down on a massage bench or in a massage chair. The therapist uses a range of different movements including application of deep kneading and compression movements over the neck, shoulder and scalp areas. In addition, the therapist will also gently stimulate and stroke pressure points on the face.
