“I trained initially in addiction counselling and subsequently worked for some years as a voluntary counsellor in Reading.
My interest in altered states began when I noticed that, during sessions, clients would move spontaneously into trance-like states. So, I went to study this further, first at the Psychotherapy and Hypnosis Training Association (PHTA) and then at the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology (CTP) where I took my Advanced Diploma and became a member of UKCP. I also started meditating and, after exploring different spiritual traditions, found a home within the wisdom teachings of Tibetan Bon, Buddhism and Dzogchen.
My work with clients tends to differ very much from person to person. Depending on what feels most natural for the individual and for the difficulties they bring we might use techniques from CBT, Gestalt or hypnosis, explore dreams or family history or just spend time talking through a current situation.”
