Are you suffering with chronic pain? Would you like to learn how to live without pain? Alessio Barone helps people understand, heal or manage the hidden causes behind their problem towards a new, definitive resolution through Physiotherapy & Pilates.
Hi, my name is Alessio and I’m a Physiotherapist and Pilates teacher.
I help people with chronic pain, to finally understand, heal or manage, the hidden causes or reason behind their problem, towards a new definitive resolution.
I love seeing people smiling after being relieved of their pain, sending them back home with a positive attitude and a new hope, ready to enjoy a new healthy, active and social life.
It doesn’t mean that I treat only chronic pain, in fact, I daily treat almost any type of issue but, in general, I like new challenges, trying to sort problems where others gave up or chose just to increase the dose of painkillers. Usually, a patient is called chronic just because nobody can understand the reasons for his pain.
For many years, I have been a volunteer with autistic and disabled people and I learned to never give up because there is always some solution, approach, a point of view or at least a good smile, care and compassion to give hope and make other’s life better.
As a physiotherapist, I think I cannot give up in front of a person in pain and if I have exhausted all my resources, in terms of skills, I have to keep a positive wide sight, giving the best alternative option, including address the case to other therapies in collaboration with other practitioners.
I use a holistic approach along with all my knowledge to “read bodies” of my customers and create a tailored treatment, mainly based on a light relaxing touch, giving a totally pain-free experience. All my skill are like “reading filters” to frame my client’s problem, which is often hiding some inner primary causes, potentially related to previous injuries, diseases and emotional issues.
I called my style HITO Physiotherapy, from the Japanese word Hito meaning “person”, considering that my approach looks at the person and his vastness beyond the body and not just at the actual illness and difficulty.
I’ve spent 13 years at University, 3 degrees, 1 Master, several interests, jobs, travels and sports with some great constant: dozens of books in my library, resiliency and a deep passion for learning and practising. Also considering all injuries and aches I suffered due to my sports passions, I tried on my body several types of treatments and, then, I decided to further study only those I really found useful.
After the graduation in Physiotherapy, I had the great opportunity to achieve the third level of Myofascial Induction Therapy® (MIT®). This is one of most advanced and evidence based technique in physiotherapy, using hands on treatments and a total body approach to restoring the altered function in fascial (connective) tissue, inducing a healing and remodelling process, favouring the intrinsic natural tissue response. Since I started to learn it, it has been a complete revolution of my way to work, reaching high standards of therapeutic success, resolving over the 95% of my case of study, often in less than 4 sessions.
At some point, after personal life experiences, new books, the daily practice of yoga, meditation and martial arts as well as some enlightening encounters, I started to expand my sight.
I looked at my patients like at mini galaxies reproducing the universe, bubbles of energy interacting with my energy, huge icebergs showing only a part of their inner world.
Everyone is part of the Universe (which means “towards the one”) and, as Nikola Tesla said, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” So I thought “if I want to find new solutions for my patients I need to treat their energy”.
I became a member of Association of Chartered Physiotherapist in Energy Medicine (ACPEM).
The Energy Medicine is almost unknown or usually considered alternative while many studies reveal its scientific base (“Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis” (2000) James Oschmann. Churchill Livingstone) and are already officially recognised by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy since 1998.
As a member of ACPEM, I learned how to integrate my skills using the Chinese Acupressure or the Ayurvedic Chakra Energy System. I explored the therapeutic use of yoga asanas and mudras and the vastness of applications of Cranio-sacral Therapy. I deepened the application of visceral manipulations and kinesiology. I have been fascinated studying the interpretation of teeth to understand their meaning following the Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as the Dentosophie of Dr Michael Montaud.
