We are surrounded by negative news, death tolls, isolation, illness and so much more at the moment. Maybe you were hoping that as lock-down eased you’d feel better and are wondering why that hasn’t happened yet?
With everything going on in the world at the moment it’s understandable to still feel a bit disconnected. We are having to make so many changes to our way of life so quickly that it’s hard to grasp it all.
Luckily there is plenty you can do to positively engage with life and feel a bit more human again. And we’re going to help you with that..
There are hundreds and hundreds of studies that all prove how good getting outside is for you. Mental and physical healing happens more quickly outdoors and your brain works can process more too. Even a short amount of time outdoors and engaging with nature can make a difference.
Being more mindful and in the moment is perfect for engaging more with life and feeling more like yourself again. It turns down all that background noise your brain makes that can be distracting or worse than that – anxious. Mindfulness might be just what you need to help you feel more human again.
Someone to talk to
We all know that bottling things up doesn’t help but sometimes it’s feels so hard to get the words out. Perhaps you’re worrying about overloading friends when they also have lots of things going on in their lives?
That’s why talking to a therapist can be so useful. It gives you a safe space to talk about whatever you need to with trained professionals who are trained to cope with whatever the session brings.
