Helping you get back to yourself
So many people these days are running stress and anxiety patterns in their lives. Living on the go all the time. Rushing around from a to b and working their way through seemingly never-ending to-do lists.
Does this sound familiar?
Meditation offers a chance to have a break, to re-connect with yourself, to just breathe.
Over time, regular meditation practice can help you reduce your stress and anxiety levels.
I personally discovered the benefits of meditation when I was first diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. At that time, I was working as a Trainee Solicitor and living in a constant state of stress and anxiety. My life was manic, overfull and full of pressure. I was living in a downward spiral, which eventually resulted in me totally burning out.
The GP who diagnosed me with Chronic Fatigue recommended meditation as a way to reduce the stress and anxiety levels which were causing me so many problems.
I started practicing meditation daily and almost immediately I started to feel the benefit of this. It helped me to sleep better and gave me ways to cope with the stress and anxiety from the start.
For me, meditation has been one of the key elements of my recovery process. Since then I’ve re-designed my life, working through a lot of inner self development, tamed many of my unhelpful patterns and journeyed towards finding the ‘real me’. A consistent meditation practice has kept me going through the challenges along the way (you can read more about this in my blog here).
What I’ve discovered is that stress and anxiety can act like a mask, a barrier, preventing you from seeing who you really are or being able to connect with yourself fully.
Now I’m passionate about helping others remove their masks or break through those barriers created by stress and anxiety. I work with people in various ways (see below) with the core aim of helping you to get back to yourself. A large element of all of my work is based around meditation.
I believe we are all beings made of light (whether or not we feel like that) and we all have the potential to shine brightly and light up our small corner of the world. This doesn’t need to be big, but if we touch one person and they touch one person – think of the potential ripple effect that will have.
More importantly, I believe we all have something uniquely positive to give throughout our lives. I passionately believe in the power of love, which starts with self-love. Love can heal all and to me, love for others, love for ourselves and love for the world are the most important things in life.
Join me for these meditation classes to explore ways to manage and reduce your levels of stress and anxiety. We’ll be practicing breath-based meditations, grounding meditations, working with our different sensory modalities to bring us fully into the present moment.
