Whether you are an experienced journaller or a complete novice to writing, all are welcome.
Reading aloud, and spelling and grammar skills are not necessary!
I have been writing since I was about seven, mainly poetry, journals and short stories. I was terrified of reading out loud in school, but loved being a book-a-holic and writing.
Over the years I’ve learnt that, for me, my best writing comes from connecting with experience and allowing that to find it’s way onto paper.
I’ve had three different careers, which have been diverse and challenging and I am a mother, of twenty years, which has probably taught me more about life and myself than any other experience I’ve had.
My most recent career, before becoming a creative writing for wellbeing practitioner, was that of being a counsellor for over twenty years, which was a great privilege and a huge education. Writing has helped me to manage my emotions and come out the other side of those interesting times that we all go through.
I am also passionate about living my truth, the truth that comes from the viscera and source.
