Do you suffer from hay fever, irritable bowel syndrome, hormonal problems, arthritis, depression, migraines/headaches, acne, tension or stress? Do you often feel tired?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, it is possible that you have an allergy or intolerance of some kind.
I help people overcome allergies with an holistic approach whilst providing empathy and integrity to the many people these days who lead busy and stressful lives.
Raised in an environment open to the use of complimentary medicine, my background revolves around the study of:
Whilst working primarily as a Reflexologist I was often asked for advice on many different aspects of health. It became clear that in order to practise holistically I needed to have wider knowledge and experience of different areas of health. The first diversion I made was into nutrition, the foundation of good health. This helped me to enable people make positive choices in meeting their unique nutritional needs.
Soon afterwards I became fascinated by Kinesiology and it wasn’t long before I realised that I’d found a discipline that could get to the root of just about anything. There are different ways in which one can use kinesiology. The areas I work in are: Stress management, learning difficulties, emotional well-being, personal growth, nutrition and allergies/intolerances.
Some clients come to my practice feeling that their Doctor has given up on them, telling them they just have to live with their symptoms. When I hear this I immediately think of allergies/intolerances. Have you ever considered that your depression, arthritis, asthma, infertility, pms etc, might be symptom to an underlying allergy? If this is the case then you need to clear the allergy for healing to take place.
An allergy is a hypersensitive reaction to an otherwise harmless substance in the environment. The allergic individual may thus react adversely to a wholesome food, a grass pollen or an animal dander. The number of potential candidates here is endless, for it is possible to be allergic to anything under the sun – including the sun!
The reactions themselves are equally diverse, ranging from simple itch to a potentially fatal collapse. Between the two extremes, there lies an excess of misery: the ‘constant cold’, sinus trouble, skin rash, hyperactivity, migraine, arthritis and chronic fatigue, to name but a few.
Furthermore, allergic reactions may vary enormously from one person to the next, and even within the same person at different times. Thus, one person may sneeze in the presence of a cat, and another may break out in a rash or get short of breath. They are both allergic to the same thing, but they have very different reactions to it. Similarly, some allergies occur dramatically, within seconds of exposure to the offending agent; whereas others can take days or even weeks to develop.
Allergies usually first appear in infancy or childhood. However, onset of symptoms can occur at any age, or in some cases, reappear after many years of inactivity. In order to enjoy life, the allergic person must find ways to overcome adverse reactions to chemicals and other allergens produced by technology.
