Discover Inner Peace
Hatha is derived from two words: “Ha” means “sun” and “tha” means “moon”. Together, the word stands for the purification work that must be done on the body. Yoga, on the other hand means to join two forces, and this implies to joining the energy of the sun (active and masculine) and the moon (receptive and feminine).
Through Hatha yoga you can achieve a balance between the mind and the body. Pranayama or breathing techniques and meditation. If you practice Hatha yoga, you can explore your mental as well as physical potential; become more flexible through the asanas (postures) and learn to relax through pranayama or breathing techniques and meditation.
Asanas (postures) in Hatha yoga massage internal organs, flush out the toxins and prevent diseases and tone up the body. Asanas teach poise, balance & strength and were originally (and still) practiced to improve the body’s physical health and clear the mind in preparation for meditation in the pursuit of enlightenment.
Pranayama (breathing technique) also helps in coping with bronchitis and asthma.
Hatha yoga can help you de-stress and deal with depression, mood swings and anxiety. The meditation included in the classes can help you focus and concentrate.
