Meditation doesn’t necessarily mean crossing your legs lotus position and dedicating an hour or more to the practice.
In our increasingly fast-paced world it can be hard to find time for this among all your daily cares whether at work or as part of a growing family. And yet it is when we are this busy that we most need the benefits of meditation and mindfulness practices.
Researchers have found that mindfulness-based programming not only helps individuals manage stress, depression and anxiety but also enhances productivity, creativity and concentration. Meditation-related physical benefits include lowered blood pressure, improved sleep and chronic pain management.
Fortunately, these benefits can still be felt from shorter meditation practices such as the 30 minute Lunchtime Meditations now taking place on Tuesdays 12:30 – 1pm at The Wellbeing Centre, Newbury.
