CFS/ME & Fibromyalgia Support Group
Newbury Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME & Fibromyalgia Support Group provides a safe space for you to connect with others who are going through CFS/ME &/or Fibromyalgia. It will also give you an opportunity to learn ways to support yourself on a day to day basis and how you can work your way towards regaining (and keeping!) your energy and health.

Bringing light into each other’s lives
CFS/ME & Fibromyalgia are commonly described as invisible illnesses, but that does not mean they do not severely affect your life. You might look fine on the outside, but in reality, feel knackered, in pain and just downright dreadful. I bet you’ve even had people telling you how amazing you look, when on the inside you feel anything but amazing!
When you are in the midst of living with one (or more) of these conditions it can be hard to stay positive and keep working towards regaining your energy and health. However, mixing with people who actually get what you are living through can really help you get through even the darkest periods.
I was personally diagnosed with CFS in 2015 and lived with the condition for a number of years. So, I know how lonely, isolating and debilitating it can be. I also know that very often people around you just do not understand what you are going through and when you are in the worst of it, it is impossible to explain how you feel.
For me it was support from others that helped me to keep going, even when I was practically bed bound. I have now almost completely recovered from CFS but know I couldn’t have reached this point without external support and understanding.
Having got to this point in my journey, I’m now passionate about helping others who have CFS/ME & Fibromyalgia and supporting you to work your way back towards health and vitality (see more details of the work I do below).
I also believe we all have the ability to help and support each other, even if just in a small way. We can all bring light into each other’s lives, no matter how we feel. This light doesn’t need to be big, but if we touch one person and they touch one person – think of the potential ripple effect that can have.
So, if you have CFS/ME &/or Fibromyalgia please join me for these support groups to connect with others and in the process we will (hopefully) bring light to each other’s lives – even if just in a small way.
Each month we will have a theme that we will explore for the first hour which will relate to different ways we can look after ourselves and how we can start working towards to regaining (or maintaining) our energy and health. After that we can relax and chat over tea and cake (or other healthier alternatives!).
