Reflexology is the use of specific techniques to apply pressure to the hands and feet to promote relaxation and wellbeing. The hands and feet are a map of the body and by stimulating them balance and vitality can be restored throughout the whole body.
How does Reflexology work?
During a reflexology treatment the practitioner uses light pressure to massage each of the points in the toes, feet and ankles to release tension, remove energy blockages, disperse accumulations of calcium and uric acid, stimulate blood circulation and promote healing of both body and mind.
What happens in a session?
On your first visit you will be asked a series of questions relating to your medical history and lifestyle. The treatment will then be carried out either on a massage coach or in a chair if you prefer. You will remain fully clothed, only removing your footwear.
How can Reflexology help?
Reflexology can be used to treat a wide range of disorders including skin and respiratory conditions, migraine, PMS and menopausal problems, chronic fatigue, stress, depression and anxiety.
