Mindfulness means being aware of what’s happening in your body and mind, and in the world around you, now, as it happens.

This increased awareness brings many benefits, and has been proven in scientific trials to reduce stress, pain, anxiety, irritability, exhaustion and burnout. Mindfulness improves physical functioning, wellbeing and creativity.

Sheila Bond of Living Well Mindfulness runs a variety of mindfulness courses: Mindfulness for Stress, Mindfulness for Pain, Health and Wellbeing and Mindfulness for Cancer and offers 1:1 Mindfulness Coaching. Now you can also benefit from a new weekly drop-in Mindful Meditation group.

How does Mindfulness work?

Mindfulness skills help you remain steady and grounded through life’s ups and downs. There are two key principles which underlie all aspects of mindfulness and run through the mindfulness courses:

  • You will learn to live in the present moment and breathe into your experience, rather than tensing against it.
  • You will learn to respond rather than react to your life’s circumstances

Mindful Meditation Classes

These weekly drop-in classes offer an opportunity to discover some of the benefits of mindfulness without committing to a full 8-week course. Great for people wanting to explore how to incorporate mindfulness into everyday life and learn some gentle mindful movements.  Fridays 12:00 – 13:00 £10 per session.
